Florida Grand Opera: Madama Butterfly


The University Language Center hosted international students at the Florida Grand Opera production of Puccini's Madama Butterfly, a classic drama of cross-cultural communications and interactions, at the Arsht Center on November 21, 2014.


Pulse: New World Symphony Late Night


On November 14, 2014, a group of St. Thomas University international students felt the Pulse: New World Symphony Late Night on Miami Beach - complete with club-style lighting and video projections - creating an innovative blend of live and DJ music.


Georgia on My Mind


St. Thomas University students enjoyed the iconic American music of Ray Charles at the Georgia on My Mind concert, Knight Concert Hall, Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, Friday, November 7, 2014.

The University Language Center supports the English for Academic Purposes and the Intensive English Language programs through a variety of cultural and social activities both on campus and through field trips to museums, theaters and galleries in cosmopolitan, multi-cultural Miami. The first of University Language Center Cultural Experience series for Fall 2014 was Gospel Sunday at the Arsht Center on October 26, 2014.
